St Ippolyts Primary School SG4 7PB

'Lots of children bought copies of the books and Jack signed them for everyone. It was a really inspiring session!'
I visited St Ippolyts Primary School, Htichin, Hertfordshire, and gave a Kernowland in Erthwurld slideshow presentation and talk...

...followed by a 'Meet the Author' booksigning event.

Later, the school reviewed the visit on their website...

The children in Years 2-6 had a really interesting morning with author Jack Trelawny. Jack told the children lots about his work as an author and about his stories in the Kernowland series. He also gave children lots of really useful tips and advice for how to develop their own story writing skills. Lots of children bought copies of the books and Jack signed them for everyone. It was a really inspiring session!

Jack Trelawny visits again! 2011
Year 4 pupils again had the opportunity to question children's author Jack Trelawny about the books he writes, including the Kernowland series.

Workshops took place offering tips, with Jack Trelawny speaking about the origins of his ideas!
The visit links to the work in progress in Literacy lessons, where the pupils are preparing to write their own Fantasy Adventures!
Pupils were also able to have books signed by the author.

Some comments from the pupils included...
"I thought today was brilliant!"
"we were given some good ideas of how to improve our writing"
"I thought he was fantastic!... he gave us lots of ideas"
"he has given me the confidence to write a story in a better way"

Another fun, learning experience!

'We had a lovely morning and are very grateful for Jack's visit'
On 12 September 2011, I visited St Mary's CE Primary School in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, and gave a slideshow presentation and talk followed by a 'Meet the Author' booksigning event.

Afterwards, the English Subject Leader kindly reviewed the visit in an email to Campion Books. This helps other schools to know what happens so they can decide if they would like a FREE Jack Trelawny author visit to their school...

Dear Jane,
We had a lovely morning and are very grateful for Jack's visit.
Thank you again,
Ava Quilter, English Subject Leader
