New children's author, Jack Trelawny raked in the crowds during his visit to a Bishop's Stortford book shop on Saturday, staying an extra three hours.
He was kept busy signing Kernowland The Crystal Pool at Ottakar's in South Street from 11am to 4pm and the store's children's book seller, Tricia Smith, said all 80 on their shelves went.
'It was a fantastic visit,' she said. 'Jack was very pleased with how the day went and there was so much interest.'
Ms Smth said that Mr Trelawny was one of Ottakar's most succesful visiting authors, second so far to gardening guru, Alan Titchmarsh.
Future visitor Ben Fogle's talk has been switched to April 27 (7.30pm) at the Charis Centre, Water Lane, because of heavy demand.

See you next time in the Story House.

Happy writing... and reading!
